The Little Farm School

Children are the future. At The Little Farm School, we believe that it is not what we do for our children that make them successful, but what we teach them to do for themselves that makes the biggest impact. We do not prepare the path for the child, but the child for the path. It is our mission to create the rescuers of tomorrow. We strive to lead by example to teach your children to value and respect animal and plant life and see what wonderful adults they become. We also believe that the best education does not happen at a desk, but engaged in everyday living, hands on activities, exploration, and having an active relationship with life. Join us in restoring the balance to our children’s education. It’s time to add a pinch of adventure, a sprinkle of sunshine, and a big handful of outdoor play!

Who Are We? My daughters and I have owned this little preschool for over a decade. I graduated from Northern Arizona University and received my teaching degree. I have thirty-three years of teaching experience. I have taught in three different states and in 2006 we decided to make Texas our home. We started our first business My Lil Wranglers in 2007 in old town Keller. We have moved our location to Keller Hicks road where we have been teaching preschool for thirteen years. My daughter Kaisa graduated from college in 2018 and obtained her teaching degree and her Texas Certifications. My younger daughter works with us as well with the younger children. She is currently in college working on her degree in play therapy. My husband is a science teacher at Central high school and my son-in-law is a former math teacher with a composite math degree. It really does take a village to raise children, and we can be a party of your village. We are a family business, who takes pride in what we do and the services that we offer our community. Over the years we have learned a great deal about children and what they need. We decided to change our original program, and offer an educational experience that fosters a real love for learning. By examining both Waldorf and Montessori curriculum, we have come up with a great program that we know will help children thrive. Children need to be outside in nature and to see the world around them, they need to experience it firsthand. Over the years we have noticed that children do much better when they are allowed to have free play and free choice throughout the day. At our preschool, your child will move throughout our themed rooms during the day and learn through meaningful play and activities. We will also work on STEM projects everyday such as building boats out of various materials, making a solar oven for s’mores, or doing a research project on farm animal needs/care. Students will not handle any chickens or reptiles but will aid in caring for all of our animals on campus as part of their curriculum. Students will also garden, learn about cooking and nutrition, do nature journaling, make charts and graphs, build and sew, explore our library, learn about life science and chemistry, and more. We are a unique school thats puts children first, come join us on in our learning adventure today!
